Net-of-tax commissions
Affiliate commissions are calculated on the amount Paddle remits to you (after VAT/sales tax), not the gross paid by the customer.
Refund + chargeback reversal
Paddle refunds and chargebacks automatically reverse the affiliate commission inside HeldSway.
Trial-to-paid awareness
Trials inside Paddle do not fire commissions until they convert. No "phantom" commissions on cancelled trials.
Multi-currency support
Paddle remits in your home currency; HeldSway records the affiliate amount in the same currency, no FX guesswork.
Webhook signature checks
All inbound Paddle webhooks are verified against your Paddle public key — no spoofed events sneak in.
How to connect
Connect in three steps.

Generate a Paddle API key
In Paddle Vendor Dashboard → Developer Tools → Authentication, create a read-only key.
- 02
Paste it into HeldSway
Integrations → Paddle → paste the key. HeldSway tests the connection and registers the webhook endpoint automatically.

Run a test transaction
Use Paddle's sandbox mode. Subscribe a test customer through your affiliate signup flow; watch HeldSway attribute the conversion correctly.
